Tim Vanns
Tim Vanns leads Anna Ventures as Chief Executive Officer and acts as the firm's Managing Partner, setting firm strategy, making investment calls, and holding the long-term partner relationships that anchor both the venture capital and venture philanthropy practices. He is known for a calm, conviction-driven style and a belief that the best capital is patient, deliberate, and accountable to a clear purpose.
Over more than 22 years in private markets, Tim held senior investing roles at Brightwater Capital and Meridian Growth Partners, where he led more than $1.4B in deployments across software, healthcare, and climate. Earlier in his career he operated as COO of a venture-backed logistics company through its scale and acquisition. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics from Georgetown University.
Tim and his wife, Elena, have been married for nineteen years and have three children. Most weekends you will find him coaching his daughter's soccer team, restoring a 1968 pickup in the garage, or hiking with the family dog, time he guards as carefully as any board meeting.
